Full Version: Super moody from herbs etc, PLEASE help!

Hi!

So I began my program a few weeks back. I feel like I became a lot moodier from the first instant I ate my pills haha. My boyfriend thinks I'm a pain now too so it's taking a toll on my relationship.

I used to be on birth control pills and I was AWFUL back then. It nearly destroyed my relationship... But once I got off, I was so happy and prancy for some time until now that I began NBE. Big Grin Mainly I'm just very irritable and get pissed easily about minor stuff...

Here's my program:

- Taking 1000mg of PM daily on follicular phase (days 1-14).

- Taking 886mg BioTech Natural Curves daily on luteal phase (days 15-28) (Saw Palmetto berry (Serenoa repens), Wild Yam root (Dioscorea villosa), Dong Quai root (Angelica Sinensis), Fenugreek Seed (Trigonella Foenum-Graecum), Blessed Thistle leaf (Cnicus Benedictus), Chasteberry Root (Vitex Agnus Castus), Damiana Leaf (Turnera Aphrodisiaca), Dandelion Root (Taraxacum Officinale), Fennel Seed (Foeniculum Vulgare), Ginseng root (Panax ginseng), Mother's Wort leaf (Leonurus Cardiaca), Black Cohosh root (Cimicifuga Racemosa), Soy Isoflavones (Glycine Max), Black Pepper (Piper Nigrum) [Bioperine])

- Taking Fenugreek c. 1800mg daily

- Taking soy isoflavones c.50mg daily

- Taking Hyaluronic acid + MSM+ Collagen pills daily

- Taking 500mg GABA every night before sleep.


Could it be the fenugreek? I'm eating fenugreek to boost the effect of PM. Is there something I could replace it with? I was semi-moody during my follicular phase but now that I replaced PM for Natural Curves on my luteal phase, I'm feeling even worse.... I read that PM releases dopamine though, so that might explain it?

Anyways, do you think it's the fenugreek and if so, is there something I can replace it with / lower the dose without losing effect / something to counter balance it?

P.S. I'm 20 years of age.
PM is the most common cause of problems. It's a strong plant estrogen which could make you feel effects similar to the pill which might not hit until later. Ways to counter estrogen dominance include progesterone cream (very strong but synthetic), chasteberry, or dong quai. Fenugreek helps too. At an average of about 70 mg per herb, natural curves has enough chasteberry but almost nothing for everything else. Good thing you have the FG and PM too. You could stop the PM or take less until the other herbs help you out. That would mean less benefits but also less problems. Switching to a weaker herb would be similar.

Fenugreek can lower blood sugar which might cause irritability but nothing food consumed at the same time wouldn't fix. See if that helps before dropping the PM.

I ended up boosting my fenugreek dosage to c. 2400mg.... It has helped to some extent at least! Smile I also read that it's possible to have "withdrawal symptoms" from PM, which would cause moodiness and such....


If things won't work out by my next cycle, I'm going to try dropping soy isoflavones away from luteal phase... I'm also going to ramp up my herbs from smaller dosages. : )
