BO is not like PM where you have to first start taking it on a certain day but I would definitely say starting from day 1 of your cycle is a good idea. I started taking BO a few weeks before my period and my period was delayed. I also like the fact that evrytime your period comes, it will be a new cycle on BO, it's easier to remember.
