Siriporn PM and Birth Control

#11

NBE in general is an experiment and we're all guinea pigs. Could PM interfere with birth control? Absolutely, who knows? So far, everyone has been fine but there's a legitimate possibility. Could herbs and BO interfere? Possibly. There have been no extensive and legitimate tests on any sort of NBE. If you know of some, please post the links. In any case, use a freaking backup method, it's not hard. Or start charting yourself. There are only certain times one can get pregnant anyway.

No one here is a hero Jennifer, but you sure must think of yourself as a martyr. Instead of caps-locking people to death, try giving sound advice.

Anyway the IUD is a good idea. Definitely a good way around the whole PM and bcp issue.

Hey everyone!

Sorry, I kind of forgot about this thread and assumed no one was replying to it anymore lol.

Thank you everyone for the advice. I did get a little nervous about my BC interacting negatively with PM (although not the pregnancy part Jennifer... I use a backup methodTongue) so I decided to stop it and am just taking PM with noggleberry. We will see what happens!

I do have one more question though; I am currently following the instructions of my siriporn PM bottle (2 a day 15 days on, wait until next period, then 2 a day again 15 days on again) is this what everyone else is doing? With siriporn, 2 a day is 200mg. Has anyone gone ahead and gradually increased this past the recommended doses?

Also... Because I was on BC when I started PM (but on my 7 days off during my period), then took 2 days worth of BC and decided to stop, I got my period again not long after. So im pretty sure I will be waiting a while now until my next period. Does anyone just do 15 days on, 15 days off, regardless if your period has started? And if you do, have you had issues with regularity?

My instincts tell me to allow my body to get used to being off of BC and wait for my period, then restart PM... but I'm just curious as to what others have done/what they think. Thanks!

You haven't been polite or constructive in this thread. If you are going to be so rude at least you can be specific with your advice. Exactly what are the mfg directions?

If you don't have any specific knowledge to share in a polite manner. why are you here?

Just out of curiosity (since I am very curious) the almighty Jennifer, why exactly are you even on here? You must live a very bitter, doleful, woebegone life. Or maybe your parents or other loved ones rejected you in which i dont blame them considering your attitude and perceptions. Well congrats, because everyone on this board has rejected you as well and will be much better off with out your judgments. You actually go out of way to start altercations, what is wrong with you?

Were there enough BIG words in there for you Jennifer? EVeryone on here is looking for advice and/or trying to assist others with their knowledge and past experiences. Every on on here is experimenting. THATS THE POINT! And everyone on here could very easily be putting there bodies at risk- WE KNOW THAT! Using birth control is putting your body at risk as well- for blood clots, heart attack, stroke, etc- WE KNOW. Every comment I have read from you disgusts me. You are only here to criticize others as if you are of holier than thou. What is your education? Are you a doctor? If so go do your job or better yet just find something to do you bored, miserable, piece of work.

Hi Kirstyn22. Yes, I have been going past Siriporn's recommended dosage. This is my 5th month on it. The first two months I did their recommended dosage with no cycling. Then I did 1 month of 3 pills the whole month. The last month I did 3 pills for first 15 days then only 2 pills for second 15 days. I have had my period on time every month. This month I am trying 4 pills for first 15 days then 2 pills for second 15 days, although, I am almost thinking of using fenugreek for the second 15 days instead of two pills just to balance things out since I am ramping up to 4 pills a day.

Just to note though, I am 44 and in perimenopause so I wasn't worried about periods or fertility and such.

I'm happy that I don't need BC. Because I would be very worried taking this and PM. I'm somehow sure that I would end up pregnant. I don't know why, it's just a feeling, as I know my body quite well... PM is such a strong, amazing herb. It can change so much... I would recommend using condoms, just to be on the safe side. Or take the risk and get a child. I have one and it's the best thing I ever did to decide to get him Smile

Hey Kristyn! from what I have read in the forum it's not actually 15 days it's until you ovulate, which would be around day 15 of your cycle but it's not always that exact day...for me it's day 18...so I would recommend buying an ovulation test, you can get it at your pharmacy...I got 5 ovulation test for 4$ so it's quite cheap, the other way to do it would be body temperature charting, but you would have to take your temperature every day when you wake up at the same hour...

I'm abt to be 24 and I still have trouble rmmbering what's ovulation :/ (ovulation, cycle, another cycle) that stuff confuses me *blushing* lol
Anyways I heard PM's estrogen is more potent than the body's estrogen? Um cool! Tongue but I don't no I had pm but I guess I don't use it the right way Sad lol
Question pls Smile - start pm the first day of menstruel cycle until 15 days n then use progesterone cream only? :s I'm seriously confused
Btw I wana buy some PM but not so expensive and something reliable I would appreciate it if someone posts a link n I'd give it another go since I'm running out Smile thanks
