Really Confused about PM

#1

I bought ainterol brand PM. From what i read before today i am supposed to take it 2 times a day starting on the 1st day of my period and stopping 14 or 15 days later. Today was day 1 of my period so i took 1 pill this morning. Now i have been reading on other boards a few other ways that people say it should be taken. Some start at the end of their period. I am not on bc and i know my cycle pretty well and when im ovulating. I do not want to completley mess up my cycle. Has anybody else here taken it and had success? If so, how did you take it? I am VERY confused now  Huh Also, is there anything else I should be adding to my routine? Oh and I also just got a NB about a week ago too.

A little info about me:
27 years old
1 child but did not breastfeed
In highschool and college i was a full C cup. After i had my son i lost way too much weight and my chest went away. Currently i am a full B.
107 lbs
5'3"

Hi Petitemomma,

here is a great post that Isabelle posted that might help you out:

Hope that helps some. Personally I don't cycle pm, so I can't add anything to this!

Hi Petitemomma,

I just wanted to add..I take the same brand as you..I started taking 1 a day for a few days then upped it..well I believe that is wrong..first off I would start out 1 a day for a few weeks then up it cause if you read the directions on the bottle it says this:

Take 1 cap 30 mins before breakfast and 1 cap before retiring to bed, Do not take more then 2 a day. Start with 1 cap for 2-3 weeks..

well I didnt do that and it messed up my cycle..you need it to adjust to your body.. I stopped PM for a least 4-5 months and decided to start again but I personally am only taking 1 a day and may stop near ovulation and start again with only 1 cause I am going by symptoms also you have to keep in mind that everyones hormones are in a different balance..yours maybe perfectly balanced and by taking 2 at start if may mess up (of course temp..) I am just giving you my experience with it and my body seems to not need that much at certain times or in general plus I started taking maca too and so far they are working nicely ..I also will mention that I decided to restart take these herbs again and such to help my health more then grow titas and a booty this time around..yes it does help that too for some..for me yes and the maca gives it more..Smile anyway my point is read the directions and IMO start with 1 a day then build up to 2 if anything maybe just go through 1 cycle whatever cycle you use with just taking 1 then come the next cycle add the other a whatever point you plan..When I added too much my cycle wacked out..now it is better...more isnt always better..

Thanks for the replies!

@beachbumbythesea - does the maca work well with the pm? Have you had good results so far? How do you work it into your program? Is it taken the whole month and how much do you take? Sorry for the questions, but i may want to try that oit as well.

Hi Petitemomma,

Well...a few months back I took them together but was taking other things too and at that time my hormones and such really wacked out so I stopped everything even supps.. then started going back slowly on supps... and added new supps..then add some other new herbs cause I wasnt sure what was going on..long story short I am finally feeling better..took a few months..I have found out to keep it simple as Isabelle has told me too but I didnt listen to her til now..she would also be one to ask your question too or read her thread.. anyway I just started added maca back today..today was my first day..I just added PM back on Sunday both 1 a day each are 500mgs so far my energy is better and muscles too..I am 48 yrs old so I most likely in perimenopause.. anyway I find for myself I dont think I can take too much maca but I will let you know as the days go by..I decided to go by my symptoms cause I dont know how low my estrogen, progesterone, and testoserone and other hormones like adrenals and thyroid do effect sex hormones and sex hormones effect adrenals and thyroid..IMO.. so if you want to start taking it maybe first start the PM and see how you feel on that..and so on.. also supposely maca can up estrogen too but I am taking it cause it suppose to balance things out and suppose to help adrenals (hypothalmas)....you should research maca and read about if you havent yet...not much info out there about..I would also read maca threads and Isabelles thread has been long talks about maca and lots of other good info..put maca in the search on this site..I hope I answered your question..Oh if you do start it it should be taken mostly in the morning..I take both PM and maca in the morning but I take PM first thing with milk and about 2-3 hours later I take maca with food..so far not stomach problems..the only time I had a problem is when I start PM on Sunday had pain in muscles, stomach and tired same on Monday but it could have been a stomach bug...I think it was the PM cause I didnt have a fever, did feel nausous sp? though but most of the pain was in my stomach/belly and low back and neck/back ..so that is it so far..ok done rambling..Blush

Read that you had "pain in muscles." I've been on PM for just about 2 months now. Take 1 in the AM & 1 before bedtime (Siriporn 100 mg). Haven't changed this routine but 3 days ago I woke with a terrible stiff neck. I blamed it on my pillow so I changed pillows. The stiffness has now gotten worse - migrated to my shoulders & upper chest & back. Is it from the PM? I take about 6 Gm of GR daily too (tea & caps), PG cream x 21 days (off 7 days). No change in this routine either.
