Yahoo is trashing their messenger program on July 17th.
VERY AGGRAVATING.
So my question is where to go for a simple messenger service.
I dont need it on my phone just on a PC.

Google talk is convenient at least for me. You don’t need to install any program just need a gmail address and use the email interface. People you want to chat with need to have gmail account as well. It also support video chat.
