If it's a single post the easiest way is to use the report button.
Okay thanks Eve and what about the ability to create discussion groups people could joy and then the discussions will only be seen by the ones who joy the group..some sorta chat format. Why else do we have the buddy list? It would then be nicer to actually only share with people who share back too instead of sharing with 100+ lurkers because this  forum exists for 80% of lurkers. I havebeen scrolling through the members list and wonder why people can be member since 2013 and are still visiting regular and never posted 1 post. Perhaps we are better of without them, why would we want to share our experiences with them. Its the nr 1 reason active members leave this site.
The way this website is designednow is only encouraging people to not reply on each other. Many people have complained by not getting replies to threads... so what happens they dont reply back to others to bc nobody replies on them either... its a personal and diffecult journey and maybe we get more supportive and active in chat circles where we can remove our messages etc.
We did have a chatroom at one time. Unfortunately it was hardly ever used, which is why we don't have it anymore.

It's possible to create private groups in which forum posts can only be seen by members of the group. The section for Members Only Programs works in the same kind of way.

Yeh but we dont verify our members so anybody can easily become member and spam around. But what about the option to keep messages editable.   I dont want to whine any longer but having the control on our own messages would be more then welcome. Especially in the time we live in. Then make thread sections with permant information and threads that are editable forever?
The information posted is most valueable to active members anyhow...so if we move what we wrote one week ago everybody already safed that information in their brain if it was valueable. Right? There is a plethora of information on the internet this forum is mostly about support and sharing progress that doesnt change if we can remove our messages right?
I would like the option to be able to edit our posts too. I have tried using the report function to ask for my threads or posts to be deleted in the past, but those reports usually get ignored and my posts remain up.

You seem to think the forum should be nothing more than a glorified chatroom.
I think Eve, that you are afraid of the forum becoming full of holes and lose coherency. I suggest that this will happen, but it would be rare and has other benefits.

On other forums I attend, an author of a post is free to edit or remove forever, and it works well in those forums. If I make a mistake, could be I spelt a member's name wrong, and a following post points out my mistake. I go back and correct my mistake. Now the following post complains about my error which is no longer there, but everyone reading it realizes what happened, and the mistake I made does not get propagated as much. If it is a more serious statement I am corrected on, I will often leave the original statement there but strike-through and add an explanation that I was wrong. This prevents giving bad advice or presenting something as fact that was only a rumor.

I think by giving the members the ability to remove posts and threads. You make the fora more alive ..people have to read now or things will be gone...thats a good thing. This place will be fresh, up to date and released from garbage!
I have posted a couple of threads past days.. all of them have zero replies. Now I want to remove them because they are useless.
I also answered another member extendedly in a thread of hers with zero replies back. Can i please get a little less useless posts on my name if they really are useless? Thats the content i would like to swipe out, which  standard on other fora.
Well I hope this us getting reconsidered.
James thanks for the back up!!!

I very much agree with Hannah about the ability to edit or remove their own useless posts, which seems to be available on many other forums that I visit.
