Full Version: Could PM and PC be helpful to me? What's your favorite herb?

I took a saliva hormone test and the results said I was low in estrogen and low in progesterone. I have PM and PC already, but haven't tried them together in the past because I gave up when this stuff was stressing me out too much, and I switched birth controls. I also hadn't had a hormone test and decided I needed to do that before I spent anymore time and money. I also have fenugreek at home which seemed to do something for a little while, then I'm not sure what happened, I just stopped feeling all the tingles and stuff. Would PM and PC together be the best route to try now? What's your favorite?
I generally prefer nutrition when there are hormonal or other health problems, not herbs.  In theory if your estrogen and progesterone are low then adding both makes perfect sense, but then you tax your body's resources which are shared with your mood, metabolism and development.  So then you got stressed.

I think 25-50 mg of PM and 1/16 tsp PC a day could be helpful, similar to what's used in menopause studies.  A bit of fenugreek too since it's good for both hormones and mood, maybe 3,000 mg because it's weak.  But not any more than those amounts until you get better.  Instead try the nutritional ideas in my sig thread.  Mostly near the end.  Whole grains are the main thing, especially brown rice or rice bran.  But the other healthy foods listed are great too.
