Full Version: How I made my nipples/areola's smaller in 4 months

Hi ladies,

Some want larger nipples/areola's, other smaller. It is really just a personal preference.
I wanted smaller nipples and areola's, because I feel it looks more youthful. And I had came up with a method myself that I have been trying out the last 4 months with surprising succes.

I put a little bit of Tretinoin cream 0.05% on my nipples and areola's at night.

So far they have schrunken 0.4 cm.
Especially the last month I see they are getting smaller faster.

Tretinoin has been around for almost 40 years, and was originally used as an anti acne treatment.
Soon doctors found out that their patients started to look really good in terms of reduced aging, and now after decades of lots of scientific studies, it is basically known as the best anti aging topical treatment in the world.

Since it changes the surface of your skin so drastically, it is only given by a doctors prescription.

You can easily get it from your doctor/GP/Dermatologist if you are suffering from acne. Just ask for it. (For once in your life: woohoo for having acne!^^)

If you are not suffering from acne, I know that in the United States, dermatologists sell this to people who want to reduce skin aging on their face. But I think in Europe the dermatologists will laugh at you if you ask it for this purpose and kick you out.

As a third option, I know that some people get it from ebay or other not so legal routes. I have no idea how, but I know it is possible.

If you can't get Tretinoin, you can always try Retinol, which is less effective as tretinoin, but nontheless a small amount (not exactly sure how much), gets converted to Retin-A.

Tretinoin= Retin-A

Retinol gets converted to Retinaldahyde, and Retinaldahyde gets converted to Retin-A (Tretinoin)

The conversion rate of retinol to tretinoin is low, but it is there still. It might take a year or longer with retinol to get the same effect if applied everyday consistently.
I applied the tretinoin also consistently everyday (unless my skin was so damaged that it needed some healing).

This Tretinoin stuff is no joke btw! It is quite hard on the skin, my nipples and areola's skin started flaking, being really red, feeling like a sunburn and got super dry. This lasted about 2 months, after it got used to it more. I could have taken it more easy, but I didn't mind the flaking or discomfort, since noone besides me was seeing them anyway ;)

I used Cerave pm lotion to sooth it.

My nipples and areola's feel really soft now, and are a lot smaller. I will see what the future holds :)

I hope this method may help anyone of you out there who want smaller nipples by a non-surgical method.

Love, Ellen

P.s.
Please do not use this when you are breastfeeding or when you are pregnant, or want to become pregnant. It is a vitamin A, and that is bad for the baby or fetus.

Also if you want retinol, please don't buy $100 retinol creams, because retinol is retinol. Nomatter what label you put on.
A good serum with one of the highest retinol concentrations I have found is: 2.5% retinol by Enchanted Waters, it is a company from Ebay and they sell worldwide. It is the cheapest and effective retinol I have found.
I used that years before tretinoin, on my face, works pretty good.

This is like the best post I read in times. Thank you so incredibly much for sharing! I dont have any acne issues so getting the tretoin from my doctor will be a bit harder. But I have done some research and for the Dutch people under us, there is another option...the online doctor!! I wonder what you have paid for the gel Ellen? The online doctor charges 48euro's inclusive an online consult and they prescribe it for cosmetic.purposes too!!Big Grin the brand is Airol, could you tell me what brand you use?
Oh and pretty avitar you have..is that you?just curious…:pSmile

Aww thank you Hannah Smile
And I am glad you found something online. I hope to not dissapoint you now, but I do urge for you to not use this product, I know you are pregnant and this will most likely give your child birth defects. Vitamin A is bad for embryonic development, trust me, I've seen pictures in class, and it is so sad to see, and so easily to be prevented. These birth defects can include malformations of the eye, skull, lungs, and heart.
Also don't breastfeed with this, your baby will get all the medication in his/her mouth.

You can use any brand, as long as it has tretinoin in it. You can also start at lower dosage, 0.025% and build up, or maybe stay at 0.025% and takes a few months longer. I would recommend that if you have a partner or are sexually active, because it is not a pretty sight first few months.
Really not sexy xD

My skin is never sensitive, and 0.05% made me have dry and flaking skin like I have never seen before, but I didn't care, because noone got to see them anyway.

Hope that didn't scare anyone off yet haha Smile
I feel that besides the schrinkage, my nipples have become so soft and fluffy and they are lighter too (I have pink nipples) they are a few lighter shades of pink now.
I actually love them so much more now.

And no that picture isn't me, I think if I am done with my NBE journey in a few years, I will post a before and after picture.

I also didn't pay anything, insurance covers my acne treatment. I think it should be about 25 euro for my 20 gram tube.

I hope that helped a little. At least you now have something to look forward to when you are done breastfeeding.

I did think with you here a little. And there is another non-medication way to increase the collagen in your skin, that is by using a dermaroller. It costs like 5 dollar on ebay and you can use it once every 6 weeks. You can really use it for any other skin problem where you need some extra tightning.
I had stretchmarks, after using it almost a year, these stretchmarks have faded so much I hardly see anything. I think 0.5 mm would be more than enough for your areola. But it is more painful I think, and don't know if it would work. But you can try that out while you are pregnant Smile and it is safe for your little one
Let us know if you are going to try it, curious if that would work. I would bet my money on it that it will tbh hehe

Love, Ellen

Oeh lol idk if I am brave enough to try it on my nipples. But id love to try the dermaroller o other areas then I am pretty sure curiousity wins and i wl try it out on.my nipples too ha ha. But i cant buy from ebay bc i have no creditcards but i try searching it somewhere else. Thanks for thinking along with me re tretoi and pregnancy..but I was planning it for in the future...i always think of new nbe/health routines whenever im outta money or like now pregnant..:p gosh iv became so obsessed with it at times.
But could tell how that not not sexy nipple outlook looks and transforms in good looking lighter pink nipples..mine are lightpink too but they were even lighter some years ago. Do they turn reddish and "schilferig"?lol. I only saw the 00.5% and read you hadto treat it with something else too..forgot what it was maybe you know?
