Hello everyone,

Might sound like a dumb question so forgive my ignorance! I think I know the answer but I'm not 100% sure.

If I start massaging with flaxseed oil for example, will it be like I'm eating flaxseeds? Does the oil penentrate in your body and have the same effect? I guess anything you rub on your skin would eventually enter your pores and your body, right?

I wanted to start massaging with flaxseed oil but I'm worried because a few months ago, I started eating flaxseeds and they made my skin terrible (acne flare outs). Do you think applying the oil on my breasts, would have the same effect or to a lesser degree?
The skin absorbs it and enters the bloodsteam but I have no idea how much is absorbed. I thought about it and it can't be the same as ingesting it why else could we use soap and perfume and etc on our skin while it's bad to ingest it?

Also: I massage my breasts with almond oil and I have acne around my breasts now. Also more acne on my face!! But I'm not certain if it's because of the almond oil massaging cause I'm busy with trying a lot of different products for skin care (skin care products and natural products, oils and honey).  There could be so many reasons. I don't want to change to another oil cause I really like almond oil. Now I apply a tea tree oil mixture to combat acne after applying almond oil around my breasts. It has already reduced the acne. I looked flaxseed and acne up and I see it helps many people improve their acne and others have breakouts from it. It's so fascinating how different we all are.  I hope I'm not rambling too much about my own personal experiences.  Blush

Thank you for your reply, Octaviaaah!

Yeah, it's something to think about...
There are plenty of face creams that contain caffeine for example and I've met some ladies who told me that they became agitated when using beauty products containing caffeine (as if they were drinking strong coffee). That shows how the skin really does absorb what you put on it. I guess it depends what the ingredient is, and it also depends on how sensitive you are.

Not at all and don't worry, I like to hear about your experiences! I also breakout on my chest when massaging my breasts with oil. Almond oil, olive oil, all of them gave me acne but I thought I'd give flaxseed oil another try because it's so rich in omega 3 and phytoestrogens. Now, at this point, I don't mind acne on my chest (if the oil does something positive to my breasts!) but I don't want to breakout on my face like I did when I ate flaxseeds.
I also read how some ladies swear that it cured their acne and others say it causes acne! It is indeed incredible how everyone reacts differently....

I started taking flaxseed oil a while back and broke out in acne- went back to holland and barratt and they said it usually is the case- but then it calms down which in all honesty it did do. I just had to bear with it. I also bought the oil and tried massaging with it. I found it too thick. And yes i started getting spots on my chest. The only oil i would recommend is coconut oil.

I heard wheatgerm oil is good for breasts and tried that too. Again spots and the smell-- didnt like it.

i've recently started using Raw Organic Coconut oil,and love it. After using flax oil etc, I personally would recommend coconut oil, it does a fab job. (But personal preferences apply to the user, it's light, smells nice, moisturises does a good job, and you can eat it ).
Thank you Fruitcake xx and Man2breasts!

I did try coconut oil a long time ago but it was old and hard so maybe that's why my skin didn't get along. Thank you both for reminding me, I'm going to buy it and try it again. If worse comes to worst, I'll use it for cooking  Smile

Coconut oil is solid in colder ambient temps, but as it warms up, becomes liquid .
If its solid you can warm your hands by rubbing them together and it'll soon melt. Alternatively gently warm some by putting some in a cup/mug and standing the mug in hot water....  It does become fluid quickly.

Yeah. I  been using coconut oil for a while. If my coconut gets really hard I boil water and and let the coconut sit in there. Putting in a warm mug works too because I use that method too.
Will try it out! Thank you Man2breasts and Jpoper3838!
