Areolas?
February 21 2007 at 11:45 PM Mayu (Login MayuAmakura)

Hi,

I was wondering if there is a natural way of reducing the size of the areolas?
Does anybody know about this kind of stuff?

Thanks!

I'm sorry to say that short of surgery, I don't think there is a way to reduce the size of them. If your breasts shrink overall, it's possible that they can appear somewhat smaller, but I believe this is just from the tissue having less tension on it -- if it were 'filled' again, you would see the true size.

Perhaps if you're doing NBE and grow some, your nipple area will stay the same and the larger breasts will offset the size nicely. Smile I hope someone else can be of more help!

Thank you, it all seems logical.
That's what I was hoping for, that if I manage to get my boobs to be bigger, maybe the areolas won't seem so huge, but proportionate. Smile

Thank you for the advice!

To reduce your areolas surgically is a simple procedure, but whether it leaves scars I don't know.

It involves making the new areola marking, and then removing the skin between the new marking and the outer part of your existing areola. Then a special suture is passed through and the area is closed.
small areolas: HELP!!!!

Hello friends,

My BF likes big areolas (spelled correctly?) And I have practically none!!! Nipple enlargers with suction just create a hard nipple temporarily for me. HOW can I increase my size????? I can't even find a plastic surgeon (online) who offers this service. I can't find anything online about enlarging the areolas! HELP is there a way???

You shouldn't go trying to change your areolas just because your boyfriend doesn't like them, or any other part of your body for that matter. If you were wanting to enlarge them for yourself, then I don't know of anything that can achieve this. You should read all the responses of the post made by 'crying girl'- can't have a boyfriend because of small breasts. As many people have said if a man likes you and wants to be with you then he will like you just the way you are. If he doesn't then get rid of him, theres plenty of men out there that will!

I definitely agree with what Tori said, you should not let his perception of any part of you affect how YOU feel about those parts. That being said, I think most guys don't care one way or the other about the size of the areolas, it's the nipples that really count because they are the source of sexual pleasure.. you just happened to find the one guy for whom the size of the areola happens to be an issue. If he puts you down and criticizes you for that you should drop him like a hot brick and find one that will appreciate the rest of you. Plus, I would think small areolas would make the breasts appear bigger, no??

He says my breasts are beautiful, but he does like the big areolas (I only found out by quizzing him) and mine are almost just the nipple. He likes mine just fine, I myself would prefer the bigger ones. I guess the grass is always greener? Too bad there is no way to enlargen them just a bit. Thanks for the support though! It would be for me first, and him secondly. Anyone ever hear of a way to enlargen/expand the areolas????

Using suction to the whole breast will grow the aureole as the breast grows.

Personally I think the smaller the whole nipple area is the better, I think it looks horrible when people hve big droopy boobs and huge nipples like udders, mine aren't too big but sadly quite puffy. At some point I intend to get the spray that makes them erect - hopefully longterm use might make it permanent.

Me nighther, especially on small breasts, big arreolas would only make the breasts optically smaller! They would probably grow with suction tho.
And damn, I could so use that nipple errector spray! My breasts look like a milion times better when my nipples are errect.

Well, mine did grow slightly bigger, but they fit perfectly with my breast size. Mine are beautiful and I love the look of them. I just wish my breast were larger. But, I am working on that part. Anyways, the way mine did grow slightly larger was when I pulled on the nipples. Be careful not to pull on them too hard though. But, I am just telling you what happened with mine. Which about 3 yrs someone told me that if I pull and massage my nipples by breasts would grow. They did grow slightly. But, when I added wild yam cream to this it worked even better. But, then I discovered herbs a little over 4 months ago. Well, I hope this has helped in some way. Big ones are ugly...they look out of proportion on small breasts and vise versa in my opinion. Oh and about your bf...I would have kicked him to the curb if he told me something like that!!! No guy is worth criticism!

Absolutely. I had AA-AAA breasts and huge areolas. Now that I have gained a bit of middle aged pudge, I may be closer to AA-A. But the big areolas make my breasts look even more ridiculously small and droopy after breast feeding four kids. I don't even notice the slight new roundness. The only thing I see is two big brownish smudges. I really think with smaller areolas and decent nipples, I would be a lot more comfortable looking in the mirror at bath time.

They do look much better after, but what kind of man is such a tart he has to have lipo!

Don't think this would work for us, they are correcting the underlying problem which causes men to get puffy nipples after lipo due to ?prolapse of underlying tissue (didn't really understand that bit!). I don't think we're puffy for the same reason, and what they've removed is from underneath inside the boobs, I personally need everything I can get...isn't it a shame we can't hang upside down or something to get lower body fat to migrate to the chest!

It was easy to find spas that offer this service, I just Googled "permanent makeup for areolas", and the name of my city and I found some places that even specialize in that service.

Lol.. this is so funny...

excuse my bluntless but what would you do if you did manage to enlarge those nipples of yours, and then one day you get a new boyfriend that prefers small ones, would u try to make them smaller again? Ask urself why u want to get bigger ones. If the answer is because ur boyfriend likes it then You need to do some serious soul searching because I bet u if you tell your boyfriend his P*nis is too thick for your taste i highly doubt he would try to change anything, for anybody. Truth is men don't bother with little things like this, and neither should women because there are much more important things to work on.

I could understand if it's something that's been buggin you for a long time before you even met this guy or before any guy influenced your thoughts about the size of your nipples and nipples is really 'your thing', just like having a little bit bigger breasts is 'my thing' but just make sure you're doing it because you deep inside want it.

Keep in mind that many many women want smaller nipples, and that nipples do often times get bigger when you get pregnat, have babies and breastfeed.

Also to the person that wanted to change her nipple color, that's very interesting because many people with dark nipples want to lighten theirs..Isn't it interesting how you always want things you don't have?

Truth of the matter is.. it's just a pair of nipples. And you may end up doing more harm than good by trying to enlarge them. They're not like a pair orf breasts that you could grow by eating, massaging and taking pills. You could also end up infecting your nipple ducts by picking on your nipples all the time.. If anythin, let them grow naturally on its own.

Moon - isn't that a sign of growth starting? I thought I recalled reading that when they start to get puffy like that it means something is going on. Its how young girls look when they start puberty right? Not that I remember back that far, but its how these younger girls appear to look through shirts when you know they need to start using one.

Pearl - I think you should be able to use a tanning bed to darken your nips. When I was tanning a few years back, mine really darkened up. I know there are risks of skin cancer, but getting permanent makeup on your nip/areola are doesn't sound very safe to me either - so be careful.

Henri -
I have always had puffy areolas as my breasts are a small A, so still half stuck in puberty, but lately to got even bigger and puffier. You might be right and it's a sign of growing again, as I have been on a routine for a bit over a month that seems to be going quite well (magnets + herbs).

I've seen your measurements and they seem huge to me, I know you're tall but are you broad shouldered or have you got a big back or something? I think you should be at least a 34B??!?!

I think dark pink looks nice for nipples though I guess it depends on your skin tone, personally I would colour them with flavoured lip gloss but don't want to sound pervy!

Louise - I think my bust measurment is deceivingly high because my shoulder-blades kinda stick out. I used to have poor posture, but after improving it they have a bit different postition and my muscles are a bit differently shaped. It's also that I'm tall, my shoulders tho are about normal for my height. I think some women also have a slightly more cone shaped chest, which gives a bigger bust measurment, while others have a slightly more barrel shaped chest.

Don't try it with fake tan though girls! It rubs off your boobs almost straight away because they stick out and your clothes cause friction then it lasts for months on your nipples because they're wrinkly - it gets in all those creases!

Hi,
I'm new on here. It's a great site and everyone seems really supportive.

I'm just starting high protein diet with wonderup and regular massages as boobs are rather deflated since breastfeeding.
I was wondering if anyone knew if there was a way that you can make the areola look bigger? I have hardly any colour showing around my nipple and that combined with their small size I feel like a teenage boy Sad

Thanks in advance, Chantel.

its possible that through nbe your areola might increase in size as well. Maybe if you pay special attention to it when you massage it would help. Be careful not to irritate the skin though. I try not to massage mine too much because my areolas used to get so ridiculously itchy when I massaged them too rough and frequently. I kept scratching them and they got so swollen and irritated.

Thanks for replying.

I was hoping that if breasts grew in general they would "push out" the areola a bit. I'll be careful with massage - yours sounded sore!
I have started using the wonderup cream but have come out in a rash (not itchy or sore) so not sure whether to continue it or not.

hmm...thats not good. You might be allergic to one of the ingredients. If the rash persists you could always try making your own booby batter for massage. Many people here massage with lotion mixed with fenugreek. Although i personally cant stand the smell. I use wild yam instead and I feel its helping. there are a lot of recipes for booby batter on this forum in fact, you should give them a try. It might even end up being cheaper than buying that cream

I think I'll try the cream for a couple more times as I spent so much on it! maybe my body will get used to it. Then I'll definately try a home made one as it sounds cheaper and from what I've read, more effective.

Will also try giving my nipples extra attention during the massage Smile

I've went from a 32AA to a 32C so far and my areola's are a little bigger than when I started I'd have to say. I'm sure most the time as the skin stretches the nips also spread out a little also, so they appear bigger. If you look on breast implant sites of before/after pics you'll see that when their skin is stretched with the implants, the nips look bigger than before. My husband is the one who noticed first actually that nips looked bigger than before. I had to look at old pics to see that he was right, because I couldn't really tell or wasn't paying much attention to them before. It's hard to remember what they looked like as time goes on, unless you compare pics.

slightly O/T - Puffy areolas
April 23 2009 at 3:16 PM CousinRose (Login CousinRose)

Hey everyone.

The main reason I have been doing NBE is because my breasts were way too small for my areolas and my areolas are a bit puffy. I hate it! I was hoping bigger breasts would make the problem less visible and it has a little but they are still puffy! I think me breasts look perfect when my nipples are erect since my areolas contract with them but when they are not they are not so great at all. I never take my top off unless I know they are erect!

I would never undergo surgery but I was wondering if anyone knew a way to make areolas flatter naturally? (Since I obviously never reached that final stage of puberty.) Is it a result of any hormonal imbalance? Any suggestions on herbs I should try?

I tried google-ing but found only information for males and surgery options and old posts on this forum did not have any suggestions.

Don't worry too much about it. It's normal. I have puffy areolas myself! I would guess that the only way to improve their appearance is to grow bigger boobs. I'm still not even 33" yet, since I hit a stall--my own impatience put a wrench in my progress XD--plus AF just ended yesterday, so the swelling went with it. the first sign of this in a young girl is a swelling or a "puffiness" of the areola and an incresed sensitivity. they start hurting to the touch and are very tender. i have no idea if these herbs will induce "puberty" in you but ... maybe thatll help you out

I agree, growing something can be done, although even that is complicated as hell, but reducing the size of nipples is probably not possible, at least not with the knowledge we have.

The arreola growth info was very useful, I notice that mine got bigger before any actual growth and I've had pains and itches precisely there, besides in the breast, so maybe that's a good sign.

Thanks for asking this question. This Forum pays relatively little attention to nipples for reasons I cannot figure out. A while ago I asked for advice on ways to make my (male) nipples more sensitive but, unfortunately, did not find anything that helped.

Maybe anything that would make nipples erect also would make them more sensitive? You mentioned that your nipples are not very sensitive. By contrast, my wife's nipples are always erect and also are extremely sensitive.

Maybe nipples' erectness and sensitivity go together? Would anyone care to say whether this is true for them?

Louise,
I would worry that anything that would make your nipples permanently erect would probably damage the nipple. There are processes that change an inverted nipple (would that make it an extroverted nipple... lol) but they would not make the nipple contantly contracted.

You could do chest exercises that stimulate the muscles under the breast and thus stimulate blood flow to the nipple area. The same could be said for massage. This might increase the likelyhood of your nipples being erect more often, but not constantly. Things in our bodies are not made to be constantly contracting. The area needs to relax so the tissues can receive proper bloodflow.

There are however things like nipple rings out there. They are placed over the end of the erect nipple and the pressure causes the nipple to stay erect. Of course the obvious problem is that the nipple will lose blood supply (especially the tip) - just think of what happens when you put a rubberband tightly around you finger.... not a good thought in regards to the nipple. Short term might be okay but not a long term solution.

ManyQuestions,
Since the nipple is essentially just skin, anything that makes skin more sensitive would probably work for the nipple.... but also you might be talking about permanent damage as a result. Some temporary solutions could be to apply some menthol based product to the nipple... ha ha... you won't catch me applying 'IcyHot' there, but theoretically it could work.

Re: Nipples - odd question!

hey louise...
are you sure you aren't talking about the size of your aerola too? because...you don't say your nipples are inverted - just that you want them to be erect. you say "puffy" and people usually describe their areolas as puffy, but not the actual nipple. the nipple itself, well you know the difference.
look at some of the before and after photos. i forget who, but someone had aereolas similar to how you describe, but when she grew, they flattened out. the same exact thing happened to me when i grew as a late bloomer. puffy aerolas are a sign of youth....some people really like them. so...you could see it as a positive or negative depending on what you like or want. but nbe can help with that. i swear there is a before and after of someone that is pretty dramatic in this regard. check it out. also...sometimes we just think we have weird nipples when we really don't. jennifer lopez has someone with the actually profession of "nipple tweaker" on the set of her videos! or she used to at least! i used to think mine were inverted, but now i realize they are just normal, and perhaps not very sensitive. nbe does make them more sensitive though. how long have you been on your program? hope this helps some. def. check out the before and afters and find the pics i'm talking about.

Thanks for the responses, Sophie I think you hit the nail on the head with the 'sign of youth' it is the areola that is puffy (the actually nipple is quite puffy too but I don't mind that so much), it's like when you're about 10 and the niple develops before the breast. I'm about 32A-B so not absolutely flat but small with that kiddie nipple look. Worried to do massage or excercise as I'm hoping to start Brava on Saturday and I understand that it could undo the effects. I'll just see what happens when they swell up.

Waxingmoon, Thanks for your suggestions - all sound terrifying! Think they're best left well alone in case they go black and drop off!

ManyQuestions - mine are now sensitive and whole boobs feel weird, I've been taking wonderup (standard dose of 6 tablets daily + microgynon contraceptive pill) for 1 week and boobs felt slightly funny after about 3 days and constantly funny since day 4. Slightly achey not really unpleasant just feels like they're up to something! Will keep you posted.
