It apparently visibly eats away at the cornea in the worst case scenario. Based on all the ALL CAPS multiple exclamation point warnings that I've seen on places like Yahoo Answers, lots of people seem to assume that regular peroxide would act the same way. What they don't seem to understand is that contact lens cleaner also contains phosphoric acid, so it's really not fair to compare the two. It's specifically designed to eat through organic proteins, so no wonder it does so much damage. Not that hydrogen peroxide is totally safe on it's own, but it seems to have everything to do with the dilution strength. Most of the horrifying warnings about hydrogen peroxide only apply to the stronger concentrations used for hair dye and such. Lots of people don't seem to understand that. Mind you, I'm not saying that 3% peroxide is safe for the eyes. I'm just saying that people are failing to differentiate wound peroxide from hair dye, industrial peroxide, and contact lens cleaner. Obviously the other forms of hydrogen peroxide are a hell of a lot stronger and more dangerous then the kind you'd use on cuts.

As far as I can tell the worst thing that could happen from 3% peroxide in the eye is that your eyes would be extremely irritated. Apparently it hurts much worse than I would have imagined, but 3% peroxide still won't cause permanent damage or send you to the hospital. All you have to do is rinse it out really well and then everything's fine. Unfortunately, I still really have no idea what concentration would be safe. I just read some sort of industry warning paper that says that even 1% peroxide is somewhat painful and too strong for the eyes. I wish I knew more about exactly how much peroxide is produced by honey. I'm sure it's a vanishingly small amount. Ktani (the author of the honey lightening post I linked to) might have posted some links to studies that say how much is actually produced. If I could dilute hyrogen peroxide until it's as weak as the strongest honeys, I'm sure it would be safe. At least I haven't heard a valid reason why it wouldn't be, but that doesn't mean that there isn't one. It's gonna take me a while to figure this out.

Okay... now you just ensured that I will NEVER try it!!!! Eating away the cornea!?! I... just can't. [Image: t2339.gif]

I know I can literally consume more pigments and get them back (theoretically). I come to the conclusion that I am right smack in the middle of the color spectrum between blue and brown. There is a possibility my iris background will turn blue (according to iridology mine are genetically and already blue).

Only time will tell. With colon and liver cleansing, I am hoping for the amber rings do dissappear to reveal the real iris over time (6-12 months). I know its not green its either glass brown or some shade of blue. This morning, they looked a little different like blue is revealing.

I am taking a mix of artichoke leaf, coconut flesh, cascara sagrada with trace amounts of milk thistle. The first day of taking two caps, I had to run to the restroom. Now I am good with it. I really feel this can help someone so try cleansing in addition to the honey.

As far as being unique with the hues, I can kiss what was goodbye. I kinda like my brown ring, I hope my iris doesn't end up one color. It looks like the brown is lightening a little faster than the background.

So maybe that's why dark brown eyes get lighter faster at first?

I honestly think h202 is unnecessary. Besides, honey has over 100 unique and nutritional elements.

I would say expirement to see if there is faster resutlts with other honeys. Everyone is going to respond different and get different results. Try colon cleansing along with it. You should get faster results.
I just started this eye lightening journey with 100% raw organic honey diluted in water for about 2 weeks and I do see a difference. My eyes which are generally a medium brown but can get light at times are now more bright and my pupils actually stand out. I'm wondering is it possible for me to reach hazel color? and if so how long?
Hello people!Big Grin So I just started putting honey+water in my eyes for like 4 days already and I was wondering how many times a day I should do it. I usually do it in the afternoon and at night.[/align]
I passed my two month mark on the 27th of December. Here are my updates. In the picture it is from Dec. 1 to Dec 28th (Edited to add: Dec 1 is on top and the 28th is on bottom):

One is still lightening faster than the other. I guess it won't be so bad with two different colored eyes. I still always try to get the lighting as similar as possible when I take pics. It is hard, but I got pretty darn close, if I may say so, myself.

Awesome, I see the one is lightening a bit faster. I wonder what causes this. I have my left eye which is slightly darker. So you aren't the only one.
More of the difference. A totally different picture... (from today)
